Laetitia logoJune 9, 2014 – (Arroyo Grande, Calif.) Members of the team at Laetitia Vineyard & Winery recently announced the debut of their newest wine, NADIA Quattro, a red blend from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities.

“As a sustainable vineyard and winery, we are always looking for ways to contribute to the sustainability of our community,” said President and Winemaker, Eric Hickey. “We’ve made many donations and contributions in the past but are very excited to give proactively through this new bottling.”

So named for its composition of four varieties – Tempranillo from the Laetitia estate, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Petite Sirah from the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard – NADIA Quattro will be an annual special edition wine crafted by Hickey and available only through the Laetitia tasting room, web site (www.LaetitiaWine.com) and wine club. Just 450 cases will be made each vintage, with one dollar per bottle going to two annually-selected San Luis Obispo County charities. “With the selected charities rotating each vintage, we are eager to touch a wide range of local non-profits,” Hickey shared.

The first vintage, the 2012 NADIA Quattro, will benefit Family Care Network, which operates multiple programs designed to strengthen and preserve families and individuals; and the Woods Humane Society, which serves homeless companion animals and places them into humane environments.

“Laetitia Winery has been one of our great community partners and supporters,” said Jim Roberts, CEO and Founder of Family Care Network, “and we’re very excited to be one of the NADIA Quattro beneficiaries. Our portion of the proceeds could go toward items such as backpacks for school, incentives and rewards for progress in school or life skill development, household items for emancipating youth, summer camp experiences, sports participation fees, music lessons, et cetera.”

“We’re so grateful for the support of our local wine community,” said Woods Humane Society Executive Director, Cory Karpin. “ The proceeds from this wine will help us provide the highest quality care for the thousands of homeless animals who pass through our doors each year. This wine saves lives!”

To kick-off the start of a new venture, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery will host a NADIA Quattro release party on Sunday, June 15 from 12 to 3 PM. Admission is free and will include live music, delectable cuisine for purchase from The Pairing Knife food truck, samples of NADIA Quattro paired with locally-made chocolates, and booths for both Family Care Network and the Woods Humane Society, including animal adoption. Reservations are not required to attend this family-friendly event.
