NAPA, CALIFORNIA | September 8, 2014: The Napa|Sonoma chapter of Women for WineSense (WWS) announced key additions to its Board of Directors this week. Cindy Webber will hold the position of Secretary of the chapter.  And Suzanne DeGalan will assume the role of Director-at-Large. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Webber is currently the Director of Finance for the Napa Valley Publishing Company and is a degreed accountant with over 20 years of experience in business and management. Holding a board position is not new to her as she previously held the Secretary Board position with Florida Commerce Credit Union and was on various board with Book of Hope International Foundation and KCOS. Cindy is also a graduate of Leadership Napa Valley and has been a WWS member since 2010.

In her position as Secretary, Cindy will be responsible for all board meeting records, compiling quarterly reports with the Treasurer and Membership Director and building the annual plan with the Treasurer and the Membership Director. “We couldn’t be more pleased to have Cindy working with us,” says Chapter President Christine Mueller.  “Her insights and experience are invaluable to a large, fast moving organization such as ours.  We’re lucky to have her.”  More information on Webber can be found at wwsnapasonoma.com/cindy-webber/.

Ms. DeGalan is an ideal match to her new position. “The Director-at-Large position provides guidance with respect to legal, regulatory and procedural issues, including alcoholic beverage licensing and other issues related to alcoholic beverage laws and regulations,” explains Chapter president Christine Mueller.

DeGalan is poised for this position as a senior attorney at the firm of Hinman & Carmichael LLP. She has been a member of the organization since 2011 and was a former Napa|Sonoma chapter of Women for WineSense Board of Director member, first serving as Education Director, now as Director-at-Large (DAL).

DeGalan said “I have tremendous respect for WWS and for the Napa-Sonoma chapter and am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the work you do to make WWS the inspiring, educational and welcoming organization it is.”

This addition to the Board of Directors comes with other announcements this week.  Among them, Jackie Egidio, chapter Secretary, has shifted to the role of Treasurer, having served previously as WWS’ National CFO for five years and currently serves as Finance Director for Ram’s Gate Winery in Sonoma.  Her information can be found on the organization website at wwsnapasonoma.com/jackie-egidio/.
