Combines Napa’s past stellar events – the Wine + Grape EXPO and Viticulture Fair – into one powerful annual showcase connecting vineyard practices to wine quality

NAPA, CA (October 21, 2014)ROOTSTOCK presents a full day of high-level, provocative seminars and industry experts, wine trials and tastings, and exhibits when this revolutionary conference designed for top quality grape growers, vineyard and winery owners, and winemakers worldwide, debuts Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Napa Expo Fairgrounds.

Presented by the Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG), this inaugural one-day summit includes the highly anticipated Concept Bar featuring innovative, progressive ideas, methods and technologies in viticulture and enology, including Dri-water, a potable water in solid form; BioChar, a specialized charcoal used as a soil amendment; drones in agriculture; Diemme MicroFlex, a direct flow filtration process; Invisible Sentinel Veriflow testing; and more.

The conference features seminars and wine trials focused on isolating wild yeast from an estate vineyard, mastering balance and vineyard expression through the acidic and phenolic makeup of wine, cooper trials, clonal comparisons, and other topics. Sessions will be presented by industry experts synonymous with top quality grape growing and winemaking including Napa Valley pioneer Warren Winiarski, Opus One winemaker Michael Silacci, 2014 Napa Valley Grower of the Year and Harlan Estate vineyard manager Mary Maher, among others.

Attendees have access to an exclusive exhibition featuring more than 120 of the industry’s highest quality viticulture and enology companies. In conjunction with ROOTSTOCK, NVG’s Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation will present its Leadership & Viticultural Best Practices Education Program in Spanish for Napa County farmworkers on November 12 and 13.
