The Hess Collection is expanding its on-premise exclusive offerings with the addition of Hess Shirtail Ranches Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced primarily from the Red Hills district in Lake County. The new wine, a 2013 vintage, is offered in screw-cap for consistent quality and maximum efficiency in the on-premise environment. Priced to appear on wine lists in the $35 to $45 range or as a by-the-glass pour, it joins the long popular Hess Shirtail Creek Chardonnay, the unoaked vineyard-designate Monterey Chardonnay that has proven successful both in bottle and on tap. The Hess Shirtail Creek Chardonnay is also exclusively on-premise.
Both wines carry new trade dress, with a rich look and feel that is both classic and contemporary, crafted to complement restaurants from casual to white tablecloth.
Hess Shirtail Ranches is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with Malbec also in the blend. It has been aged in mostly neutral French and American Oak for 15 months, and is fruit-forward in style, blended to pair well with a variety of courses and cuisines.
