Tickets On-Sale for two-day celebration of food, wine and craft beverages

Seattle Wine Food ExperienceOctober 29, 2015 (Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Wine and Food Experience (SWFE) is back February 20-21, 2016 with two epicurean events: POP! Bubbles & Seafood (Saturday, Feb. 20) and the Seattle Wine and Food Experience Grand Tasting (Sunday, Feb. 21). Tickets go on sale November 2, 2015 at www.seattlewineandfoodexperience.com.

“The Seattle Wine and Food Experience connects producers to enthusiasts and supports the community,” said Jamie Peha, event producer and president of Peha Promotions. The 2016 experience is the eighth annual show and benefits Les Dames d’Escoffier as it features a number of talented authors, chefs, brewers and winemakers from the benefactor. “I can’t wait to share more details as the event evolves daily and is becoming an entire weekend of culinary immersion.” said Peha.

Pop! Bubbles & Seafood, presented by Seattle magazine on Saturday, February 20 will be held at the luxurious McCaw Hall and brings together the bounty of Pacific Northwest seafood for a one-of-a kind Seattle experience. Many of the region’s top culinary talent will prepare tasty bites using fresh and sustainable seafood from the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute and local seafood companies.
Seattle Caviar along with The Oyster Room presented by Taylor Shellfish is sure to be a hit with multiple varieties to taste while exploring new preparations and recipes. Cynthia Nims, president of Les Dames d’Escoffier Seattle Chapter, cookbook author and culinary expert will debut her new book Oysters! Recipes that Bring Home a Taste of the Sea.

What about the bubbles, you ask? Expect more than 30 sparkling wines from around the world including: Washington sparkling, Spanish Cava, French Champagne, Italian Prosecco, Alsatian Cremant plus seafood friendly white wines and craft hard cider and local beer. New this year is the Reserve Red Room and the Chocolate Salon by Cacao Barry.

The Seattle Wine and Food Experience Grand Tasting is an epicurean event and returns on Sunday, February 21 at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. Premier sponsors include QFC (Quality Food Centers) and Seattle magazine and this year’s featured region, Yakima ValleyTourism. SWFE brings back more than 190 leading wine brands, craft brewers, cider makers, distillers and chefs. Gourmet bites from artisan restaurants, farmers and food purveyors highlight the Northwest’s diversity of flavors.

Insights into the experiences that await you include: Ste. Michelle Riesling Challenge, Northwest Wine Academy Wine School, Heritage Meats Butchery Block and the Brews and Ewes by Stella Artois and the American Lamb Board.
