LOS ANGELES, CA (NOVEMBER 2016) – Global importer and marketer Guarachi Wine Partners is pleased to expand its Italian portfolio with the launch of Nobilissima Prosecco and Chianti. Set to roll out nationwide in January 2017, these new varietals will be line extensions of the Nobilissima Pinot Grigio.
Guarachi Wine Partners and Cielo e Terra have partnered to produce Nobilissima wines. The Cielo Family has proudly crafted great Italian wines since 1908. “Our wines represent four generations of Venetian values and pride. We always aim to make traditional wines unique at the best price/quality ratio,” said Pierpaolo Cielo, Owner and third generation family member.
Translating to “The Most Noble,” Nobilissima is a reflection of the spirit and strength of Italy. The winery, which overlooks the famous Romeo & Juliet castles, produces wines of the same Italian passion and romance. Its elegant packaging also pays homage to the protector of Venice – a winged lion that sits atop the majestic eastern column in the Piazzetta di San Marco.
The Nobilissima Prosecco DOC is 100% Glera, according to the new DOC legislation. Aged sur lie for 30 days in tanks, the resulting froth enhances the typical freshness and fragrance of Glera grapes. The Prosecco has a light straw yellow color with lively and persistent bubbles. The bouquet is elegant with hints of wild flower, apples, pears and peaches. The flavor is full and balanced with intense and elegant fruitiness. SRP $12.99.
Nobilissima’s DOCG Chianti is produced in Toscana, a region renowned for rich and elegant red wines. The grapes were harvested by hand and vinified with maceration on the skins, extracting the intense ruby red color. The bouquet is wide and vinous, with aromas of mature fruit and spice due to a light oak refinement. The body is full, round and well-balanced with soft tannins and a long finish. SRP $14.99.
