Castle Rock Winery is pleased to announce that it has released its 2016 Rosé of Pinot Noir from Mendocino County.

The wine is now available to order, and is already on its way to market in many states of the U.S. Total production was 12,000 cases, and the suggested retail price is $11.99.  This wine is crisp, fresh and floral with bright acidity and aromas of rose petals. On the palate it is supple and harmonious with flavors of strawberry, raspberry and citrus, with a smooth lingering finish. Perfect for drinking on its own, it also makes a nice accompaniment to salads, light pasta dishes and seafood.

Eric Laumann, Castle Rock’s Director of Winemaking says: “I am delighted with the way this wine has turned out. Using the traditional saignée  method of soaking fresh crushed grapes overnight and then bleeding off free run juice first thing the next day, is still the best way to make a rosé with true Pinot Noir character.”
