SANTA ROSA, Calif. (April 18, 2017) – Sonoma County Vintners has announced the appointment of Gregory Walsh to the Board of Directors. Walsh is a Managing Partner of Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty and the lead Partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Group. He will fill the position on the board that previously belonged to Bahaneh Hobel, who is also with Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty.

At Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty, Walsh’s practice encompasses all aspects of labor and employment law, including advising employers on how to prevent issues before they arise and developing workable solutions to those that do. He is also a member of the firm’s Wine Law and Litigation groups, representing clients in administrative and court proceedings.

“We are excited to have Greg join our team and to help further our mission of supporting the wine community in Sonoma County,” said Jean Arnold Sessions, Executive Director of Sonoma County Vintners. “His vast experience and legal expertise are tremendous assets to our organization.”

A native Californian, Walsh began his legal career practicing labor and corporate law in Boston.  He later returned to the Bay Area, where he continued developing his practice with one of the nation’s largest labor and employment firms, representing union and non-union employers.  In 2004, Walsh’s love of the wine country brought him north, where he now uses his range of experience to solve problems for North Bay employers, businesses and individuals.  During his years in management, Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty has been named a Top North Bay Employer, the North Bay’s Top Law Firm, and the North Bay Business Journal named Walsh a “Forty Under 40” award recipient.

“I’m thrilled to join Sonoma County Vintners as a Board Member,” Walsh said.  I live in Sebastopol and practice in this area of law every day, so joining the Board gives me a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully within my community and industry.”
