Santa Rosa, Calif., June 20, 2017.  Santa Rosa will play host to the first distilled spirits trade tasting event to be held in Sonoma County, California. Launched in conjunction with Sonoma Media Investments’ newest venture, Spirited magazine, the Spirited International Spirits Trade Tasting & Show will take place Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Grace Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

Why a spirits tasting in wine country?  “This locally untapped market is ripe for this area.  Many wineries have the capability to distill or are thinking about it as another way to extend their product line and market reach,” according to Event Director, Debra Del Fiorentino.

The tasting is expected to draw an audience of 2,500 attendees including active and potential distillers, distributors, wholesalers, restaurateurs, and members of the media.  The single day event will include tasting stations, supplier exhibits and a morning of educational seminars. Special guest speakers are currently being tapped to offer expert opinions and advice.

150 tasting stations will be spread throughout the pavilion with an exclusive number of exhibits for spirits industry suppliers.  Unique elements will include food and spirits pairings, a mixology bar and lounge.

Spirited magazine is a richly designed B2B publication chronicling the intersection of the wine, beer, cider and spirits industries,” says Michael Zivyak, the magazine’s President and Publisher. “This event, our first of what we expect to be many, was a logical fit with our magazine’s audience and we’re excited to bring it into the mix.”

Booth, sponsor, and advertising opportunities are now available.  Event tickets are expected to go on sale this summer.  For complete details, visit the event website at www.SpiritedTradeTasting.com.
