This educational event is focused on helping grape growers improve their sustainability practices, learn new viticulture innovations and methods, and provide opportunities to hear from their peers about effective, proven sustainable farming practices.
Speakers will focus on topics of Integrated Pest Management, soil nutrition, soil management, powdery mildew, and independent research on the Russian River Tributary. A Resource Fair will be held along with Continuing Education Units.
Lise Asimont, Director of Grower Relations at Francis Ford Coppola will be holding a wine quality tasting seminar on sustainable wines during the Resource Fair. (Limited sign-up)
CSWA will also be holding a seminar focusing on their Economic Tolls that allow growers to assess costs and benefits of sustainable winegrowing practices. The tools will cover: Air Blast vs. Electrostatic Sprayers, Dust Mitigation Methods Comparison Tool, and Certification Cost/Benefit Evaluation Tool.
