SC100 (29)The autumn of 2015 sees the arrival of an innovative product in the world of wine making. Its mission is to provide a wine with roundness and smoothness on the palate without deteriorating its aromatic profile.

Boisé France of Vivelys company id the creator of this innovation. It has been designing oenological wood chips since 1996 and is at the cutting edge of development of new chips which have made their mark in the sector – Bois Frais, Fraîcheur, DC310, SC180XL – as well as being experts in the field of interaction between wood and wine.

With an already strongly positioned line of products made up of ten types of oak chips, each having its own sensory identity, the brand is being further enhanced through this latest addition which, for the first time, offers the possibility of acting with great precision upon the balance of a wine on the palate without effecting its aromatic range.

Through the simple addition of French oak chips to wine during the production process, SC100 brings richness, mellowness and sweetness to red, rose and white wines which risk becoming too aggressive. It may also be used at the end of the ageing process to adjust the profile of a wine lacking smoothness.
A pioneer of its kind, this innovative product was developed with the goal of responding to consumers’ high expectations, and notably their preference for wines which are round on the palate, a demand which is becoming more and more prevalent.

VivelysAfter five years of laboratory research and tests done on thirty types of different wines at over twenty five different sites, the SC100 oak chips are now available from Vivelys.
