After Just One Year, California Client Roster and West Coast Team Show Dramatic Growth

San Francisco, CA (May 4, 2017) – Colangelo & Partners (www.colangelopr.com), a mid-sized, Manhattan-based leader in integrated communications for premium wine, spirits and food, celebrates the one year anniversary of the agency’s first wholly-owned satellite office, located in San Francisco. The team has doubled in size in the first year and client wins include Aveniu Brands’ Artesa, the California Wine Institute, Charles Krug’s Purple Heart,  B.R. Cohn, Napa Valley Vintners, the Wagner Family of Wine and Windsor Vineyards. Michael Mondavi Family Estates and Terroir Life are longstanding California-based clients of Colangelo & Partners.

“We opened the California office with three goals: to better serve our existing, mostly international client base in California and on the West Coast; to build personal relationships with the press and other key influencers in America’s number one domestic wine market; and to balance our international client roster with American clients,” said Gino Colangelo, president of Colangelo & Partners.  “After just one year, we’re very happy to have made great progress in all three areas.”

With offices in NYC and SF, Colangelo & Partners now has a presence in the key markets for wine and spirits press as well as the leading cities for influential members of the alcoholic beverage trade. “Over the past year, we have experienced the benefits of being on both coasts in countless ways,” comments Gino Colangelo. “From servicing existing clients with on-site event support and media appointments to strategic planning meetings with our new West Coast accounts, our team has been able to raise our service offering to a higher level than ever before.” Colangelo & Partners experienced continued growth in 2016, increasing billings by over 25% and expanding the agency’s staff of technically trained wine and spirits communications professionals by 20%.

Colangelo & Partners, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, continues to be an important player in the fine wine and spirits world by helping to build awareness for premium, entrepreneurial brands as well as regional and national marketing associations. Colangelo & Partners focuses on four strategic pillars of expertise: media relations, social media and influencer relations, trade relations, and events.
