The IBWC will be held one day prior to the launching of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition, on the 19th of November at the Amsterdam’s RAI
International Bulk Wine Competition is the only competition in the entire world that supports the promotion, transparency, quality and prestige of great bulk wines, which are produced all over the world.
The aim of this international competition is to get to know the virtues of the best bulk wines from across the world among purchasers, distributors and consumers, as well as to reward the efforts of their makers.
Over the last 7 years, wineries such as Vinicola San Nazaro from Reggio Emilia (Italy), the Cooperative Jesús del Perdón (Spain), Viñedos Puertas (Chile), Cantine Vincenzo Solferino (Italy) or Mamerto de la Vara (Spain) have been awarded for elaborating the best bulk wines worldwide.

Wineries from all over the world that produce a minimum quantity of 10.000 liters can take part in the competition. Participants in the World Bulk Wine Exhibition will be offered a 30% discount on the total of the samples costs; the first and second sample will have a cost of 110 Euros, and from the third one each sample will cost 90 Euros. Samples can be sent in up to the 16th of November 2017.
The International Bulk Wine Competition is recognized for always having a panel of renowned tasters within the sector and for being of an international nature. At the previous competition, the jury was composed of 16 different nationalities. We will soon announce the panel of tasters who will have the honor of tasting and scoring the great bulk wines which will participate in the 2017 Competition.
WORLD BULK WINE EXHIBITION
The World Bulk Wine Exhibition is the world’s most important fair in terms of business volume, gathering 85% of the global bulk wine supply. A business forum aimed towards the wine industry’s international purchasers and distributors, who meet every year in Amsterdam. The WBWE is a unique space in which the bulk wine’s great quality and diversity is shown to the major international importers.
The 9th WBWE will take place on the 20th and 21st of November 2017 at the Amsterdam’s RAI: an exclusive space where, during the last eight years, the main producers and purchasers from all over the world have gathered for the most intense business days of the year.
