Santa Rosa, Calif., Sept 27, 2017.  Registration is now officially open for the Spirited International Spirits Trade Tasting & Show on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Grace Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

The event is expected to draw an audience of 2,500 attendees, including active and potential distillers, distributors, wholesalers, restaurateurs, and members of the media.  The single day event will include tasting stations, supplier exhibits and a morning of educational seminars.

The morning starts with a keynote address by wine industry icon Jean-Charles Boisset, followed by three panel discussions with industry experts well-versed in all aspects of the distilled spirits market.

Topics include “Microdistillation: Making Spirits Right”, discussing the science behind the spirit.  “Next Steps: Start Me Up!” explains how to start or grow a distilled brand.

The morning’s hottest topic will likely be “California Law…“License to Sell: Type 74 Licensing.” This seminar delves into differences in interpretation of a new license (Type 74) in which the ABC may issue a new Craft Distiller’s license to qualified businesses.  Craig Rashkis – Alcohol Beverage Attorney, Farwell Rashkis LLP, Cris Steller – President, California Artisanal Distillers Guild (CADG) and Matthew Botting – General Counsel, California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC), will be on hand to address questions and concerns.

The trade show runs from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with 150 tasting and supplier stations spread throughout the pavilion.  Unique elements will include food and spirits pairings, a mixology bar and lounge.

This event is launched in conjunction with Sonoma Media Investments’ newest venture, Spirited magazine.  The award-nominated magazine is the adult beverage industry’s newest and most progressive national trade publication.

Early bird rates are in effect through November 15, 2017.  Trade & Tasting Ticket pricing is currently $30 ($35 thereafter).  The cost for a Full Event Pass for all seminars and tastings is $295 ($325 thereafter).

Booth, sponsor, and advertising opportunities are also available. Contact Ethan Simon for details.
