Khortytsa Vodka Now a Leading Choice in Massachusetts

Boston, MA (Monday, October 16, 2017) –Ukraine’s famed Khortytsa (KHOR) Vodka, the world’s third-largest vodka brand, is now widely available in Massachusetts and is increasingly found on store shelves as consumers discover an alternative to big, overpriced brands.

“Branded vodka prices have skyrocketed in recent years, and consumers are thirsting for a premium vodka at an affordable price,” says John Kerley of Kingston Beverage Group in Kingston, MA.

“With the lifting of the Iron Curtain, Ukraine’s vodkas burst onto the world stage, but the U.S. market is just now discovering the amazing quality and value they offer.”

Khortytsa Vodka is Ukraine’s leading vodka and has a growing fan base in the Bay State.  In fact, Kerley reports that some of the state’s leading purveyors of fine spirits have been making room for it on store shelves including: Macys, Palumbos, Liquors 44, Blanchards, and Yankee Spirits, to name a few.

Usually referred to simply as KHOR by most American consumers, Khortytsa Platinum is the most popular item in the line, and can be found locally for a suggested retail price of $14.99.

The Khortytsa Distillery is located in the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhe near Khortytsa Island. This ancient island’s history dates back thousands of years and reaches the roots of civilization. It is a sacred place in Ukraine — considered to be the cradle and heart of Ukrainian national pride –and is one of the country’s seven wonders.

Among the world’s finest distilleries, Khortytsa uses a local organic filter containing schungite (a unique natural mineral) which allows it to get as close as possible to the structure of natural water.  The filtration process is further enhanced with special birch and alder-tree charcoal and quartz sand sourced near the famous Ural Mountains.

Other items in the line include Khortytsa Ice, specially formulated to be frozen with the bottle turning blue when chilled, which retails for $14.99 per 750-ml.; Khortytsa Honey Pepper, which offers a spicy zing to a variety of cocktails and retails for $14.99 per 750-ml., and Khortytsa De Luxe for vodka connoisseurs, a “super-premium” vodka with a suggested retail of $29.99 for a 750-ml. bottle.
