Counting Crows Headline Sold Out Fundraiser Hosted by The Family Coppola, BottleRock Presents and Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center

GEYSERVILLE, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2017) The Family Coppola, in partnership with BottleRock Presents and Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center, hosted a North Bay fire relief benefit concert in Weill Hall at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park this past Saturday, November 18. Featuring platinum-selling recording artists and Bay Area legends Counting Crows, with special guest Brett Dennen, the sold out benefit concert raised $238,503 to support the efforts of North Bay Fire Relief Fund and Noma Gives – two fundraising initiatives aiding those affected by the devastating 2017 North Bay fires.

“The truest tests of our character come at times of tremendous adversity, and the character of the wine country community has been on full display in recent weeks,” said Corey Beck, Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s President and Director of Winemaking. “I could not be prouder to be a member of this community, and I am grateful and humbled that we were able to play a small part in the mission to rebuild our homes.”

“This concert event not only raised much needed funds, but also the spirits of all who were affected by these fires,” stated Dave Graham, CEO of BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock Presents. “We are very grateful that Counting Crows and Brett Dennen donated their time to support this incredible show. Music has a special healing power and this evening was a true example of that power.”

Media sponsors that produced content surrounding the event included streaming audio service TuneIn and iHeartMedia, which ran PSAs and ticket giveaways on iHeartRadio’s Bay Area station Star 101.3 FM.

The North Bay Fire Relief fund is still accepting financial donations to assist fire victims and aid relief efforts, with 100% of the tax-deductible donations going directly to support those affected. To donate, text “Green” to 56512, or visit the North Bay Fire Relief fund’s website at https://www.redwoodcu.org/northbayfirerelief.
