Tastings to be Held March 6-11, 2018 in New York, Miami, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco
NEW YORK, January 9, 2018 – JamesSuckling.com announces the Great Wines of Italy 2018 USA Tour in four cities across the United States, featuring Italy’s most sought-after wines from established prestigious brands, as well as select premium boutique estates. Producers from 180 participating wineries will be in attendance to pour some of their best wines at four walk-around tastings in New York, Miami, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco. All wines have been hand-picked by internationally renowned wine critic James Suckling for their quality and character, reaching top scores of 90 points and above on JamesSuckling.com, today’s quintessential source for wine ratings and tasting notes.
The Great Wines of Italy 2018 tour will kick off in New York on March 6 at the IAC Building and will continue in Miami at the EAST Hotel (March 7). The tour will then move to the West Coast, stopping in Beverly Hills at The Montage (March 9) and concluding in San Francisco at the Presidio Golden Gate Club (March 11). Each event will run from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Early bird consumer tickets (99 USD) are on sale now until February 10. After February 10, general admission tickets (120 USD) will be available. Discounted tickets are available for attendees 28 and under (60 USD). Tickets are free of charge for qualified members of the trade (registration required).

Last year’s Great Wines of Italy USA Tour was a sold-out success, with a record 163 participating wineries across four cities and nearly 3,500 consumers and trade registered. A new record has been set this year with 180 participating wineries from all over the Italy, from the peaks of the Dolomites to the islands of Sicily. Many of the wines to be poured were included on James Suckling’s recently released Top 100 Italian Wines of 2017 list.
