Oscar Winners Celebrate with Piper-Heidsieck Champagne & Francis Ford Coppola Wines at the 90th Oscars & Governors Ball

Piper-Heidsieck, the revered French Champagne House known worldwide for the red of its label and the gold of its wine, was the sole Champagne poured at last night’s Oscars and Governors Ball for the fourth year in a row. Best Director Guillermo Del Toro celebrated his win with Piper-Heidsieck as did Academy Award Winners for Best Original Song for ‘Coco’, Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Over 1,500 bottles of Piper-Heidsieck were popped and more than 8,500 glasses served to Academy Award winners and revelers throughout the evening.

Not to be outdone, Francis Ford Coppola Winery poured 2,400 bottles or more than 14,000 glasses of wine. During the ceremony, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence sipped on the limited edition Oscars 90th Edition 2016 Chardonnay and was even spotted climbing over seats with her glass in hand.  Kobe Bryant celebrated his win for Best Animated Short with a glass of the limited edition Oscars 90th Edition 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon as he waited for his Oscar to be engraved and Maya Rudolph was seen toasting Mark Bridges, winner of Best Costume Design for ‘Phantom Thread,’ with a glass of Chardonnay at the Governors Ball.
