Latitude Beverage Company, the innovative, Boston-based company behind national wine brands such as 90+ Cellars and Lila Wines, is adding Italian wine brand Corte Fiore to its portfolio. Latitude is introducing three Corte Fiore wines to the U.S. market, including a Prosecco, a Rosé and an Appassimento made from Montepulciano grapes.
Corte Fiore was created by Passione Natura, a group of select growers in the Italian regions of Abruzzo and Veneto. The group is led by the Pizzolo Family, specialists in sustainable farming, winemaking and estate viticulture. Latitude has partnered with Passione Natura as the U.S. importer for Corte Fiore.
The wines from Corte Fiore focus on the terroir of Italy’s finest regions to create quality wines:
Corte Fiore Rosé
The Corte Fiore Rosé is made from Montepulciano grapes grown at high altitudes in the mountains of Abruzzo. Refreshingly dry, this pale pink rosé has a crisp acidity with notes of juicy cherries and wildflowers.
Corte Fiore Prosecco
This extra dry Prosecco features a creamy fizz and a pleasantly fruity nose of lemons, peaches and pears.
Corte Fiore Appassimento
This classic Italian red wine is made from Montepulciano grapes grown on the coastal vineyards of Abruzzo. The Appassimento technique is an old, traditional Italian winemaking method that involves partially drying grapes on the vine. This results in wines with greater concentration, body and texture, and allows winemakers to create more robust wines from grapes grown in cooler climates. This wine features aromas of wild cherry and red plum, followed by notes of juicy fruit, bright acidity and ripe tannins.
“On our search for great wines from around the globe, we discovered Corte Fiore and were drawn to the quality of these classic Italian wines,” says Brett Vankoski, Vice President and Wine Director, Latitude Beverage Company. “With Corte Fiore, we are excited to reach the many Italian wine lovers in the United States who have an appreciation for good, authentic wines, and a respect for the land from which they came.”
The Corte Fiore wines are sold in beautiful 6-pack wood boxes and retail in the $13-$15 per bottle range. The wines are available in retail locations in 15 states across the country.
