Santa Barbara County, Calif., May, 2018—Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards announces the release of its new red wine blend—Hidden Asset (SRP$ 29). Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards’ long history and extensive experience of grape growing and winemaking produced this classic signature offering.

Composed of Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc, the choice lots that were blended into Hidden Asset were sourced from multiple family-owned Estate Vineyards across Santa Barbara County. Diligent planning in the vineyards, with each site selected for specific micro-climates, soils, and sun exposure, allows Lucas & Lewellen to grow a range of grape varieties, from the renown to the rare. Hidden Asset draws from this diversity for a distinctive blend that shows what happens when varying influences come together. A spectrum of grape varieties, an expanse of vineyards, and close collaboration between the vineyard and the winery – these are Lucas & Lewellen’s Hidden Assets.

Aged for 16 months in French oak, Hidden Asset is a complex and rich wine. On the nose, aromas of raspberry and pomegranate with a hint of spiciness evolve into lush and jammy red fruit flavors on the palate, complete with velvety tannins and a long elegant finish. The bottle features a new silkscreen label designed to match the quality of the wine inside. “A project long in the making, we are beyond excited to share Hidden Asset with our consumers,” remarks Co-Owner and Viticulturist Louis Lucas. “We ventured to create a luxurious, fruit forward red wine blend at an approachable price; making it perfect for every setting—from backyard bbqs to special occasions.”
