King Estate Promotes Brent Stone to Chief Operating Officer

(Eugene, OR) – King Estate Winery has promoted Winemaker Brent Stone to the new role of Chief Operating Officer, CEO Ed King has announced. Stone, who has been with King Estate since 2011, will retain his winemaking responsibilities while adding oversight for day-to-day winery operations.

“With his breadth of skills and experience, Brent has long played a key leadership role at King Estate,” King says. “By creating this new position, we are continuing to solidify winemaking’s central role in our company.”

Stone joined King Estate as Lab Manager in 2011 and was later promoted to Director of Quality Assurance and Laboratory Operations before being named Winemaker in 2016. In addition to winemaking, Stone has overseen many aspects of winery operations including laboratory and bottling operations, quality assurance, research, packaging, supply chain and product development.    

He received formal training in enology at Washington State University and is currently completing graduate work in agricultural food and life sciences at the University of Arkansas.
