The parent company will leverage economies of scale for the Stoller Family Estate, Chehalem Wines, History, and Canned Oregon wine brands

July 13, 2018, Dayton, OR – Bill Stoller announced the formation of the Stoller Wine Group today. The parent company will leverage economies of scale for existing brands, Stoller Family Estate, Chehalem Winery, History, and its new autonomous brand, Canned Oregon. The move for the Oregon based company strategically positions a suite of brands and products based on various price points and distribution models.

“This is an exhilarating time in the Oregon wine industry due in large part to the quality of fruit grown throughout the state,” said Bill Stoller. “Our family of brands is proof, and we are proud that each product has its distinct niche and clientele. We will continue to operate the brands autonomously.”

Additionally, Stoller has promoted several long-tenured staff, reorganizing workflow across companies.

Melissa Burr has been appointed Vice President of Winemaking. Ben Howe assumes the role of Director of Winemaking Operations.

Managing 258-acres of vines across three Willamette Valley AVAs, Jason Tosch was named Vice President of Vineyard Operations.

Bill Hanson has been appointed Vice President of National Sales. Cory Davis has been named Director of National Brands.

James Falvey has been appointed to Vice President of Business Development. Shani Hodge was named Director of Direct-to-Consumer Services. And, Tracy Timmins was appointed to Director of Operations.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce these promotions,” said Gary Mortensen, President of the Stoller Wine Group. “The recognition is well-deserved. I’m honored to acknowledge their efforts as we enter the next chapter.”

A staple of the Downtown Newberg wine scene since 1995, the Tasting Room is open seven days a week. Old school winemaking, Oregon style! www.chehalemwines.com

About HISTORY

HISTORY is a unique partnership between Founder and Winemaker Melissa Burr and Stoller Family Estate. Featuring historical vineyard plantings in the Pacific Northwest, HISTORY aims to craft limited releases of ultra-premium wines that pay homage to the pioneers of the Oregon and Washington wine industries. Thanks to the generous support of the Oregon Historical Society, most of the imagery used for this project are historical documents from the region in the time periods when these historic vineyards were planted. www.historywine.com
