NAPA, Calif. (July 18, 2018) – The Napa Valley Wine Train, an engaging and memorable experience that echoes the glory days of train travel, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Tequila Casa Dragones to celebrate National Tequila Day with a one-night-only Napa Valley Wine Train takeover featuring a traditional Mexican menu from Chef Thomas Keller’s team of his forthcoming Mexican restaurant opening in the fall.  The collaboration with Keller, a longtime supporter of Casa Dragones, further solidifies the tequila producer as a go-to of the culinary industry – and in one of the country’s most esteemed destinations for food and drink – aboard wine country’s most iconic train.

Prior to boarding, guests will enjoy a welcome reception at the wine train’s Yountville Station with a custom Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco cocktail and antojitos.  From there, the two-hour scenic rail tour of Napa Valley will feature traditional specialties such as an Ensalada de Sandia with jicama, watermelon, herbs, pumpkin seeds and chile de arbol and Tacos de Cameron and de Barbacoa will be paired with Tequila Casa Dragones Joven and Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco.

Tequila Casa Dragones is a small-batch, independent tequila producer known for their Joven and Blanco tequilas that reflect the care and precision that go into their production.  Since its United States debut in 2009, Casa Dragones Joven has earned praise from tequila aficionados, top sommeliers and renowned chefs for its distinctive taste, aroma and body.  Casa Dragones Joven is a master blend of extra-anejo and blanco tequilas for a super smooth taste meant to be sipped. In 2014, the producer unveiled a second style, Tequila Casa Dragones Blanco, a silver, ultra-premium tequila that maintains the nuanced elegance and subtleties that have become synonymous with the name Casa Dragones.

Tequila Train tickets start at $295 per person.  For reservations and more information, guests can call (800) 427-4124 or visit www.winetrain.com/events/tequila-train.
