Caviar & Sparkling – 12 Premium Wineries – Exclusive Seated Vintners Dinner
August 14, 2018, SAUSALITO, CALIFORNIA –The Second Annual Sausalito Wine Experience, www.sausalitowineexperience.org, takes place Sunday, September 30th at the newly renovated, luxury hotel, Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa in the charming coastal town of Sausalito, California. The 2018 Honorary Chairperson is renowned Napa and North Coast grower Andy Beckstoffer of Beckstoffer Vineyards. Wines from his family’s portfolio are among 12 prestigious Napa and Sonoma vineyards pouring at the tasting event. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Sausalito Sister Cities, Inc.
Overlooking the beautiful Sausalito waterfront, the Sausalito Wine Experience will kick off with a pre-event Sparkling & Caviar Tasting, hosted by California Caviar and Domaine Carneros, on Casa Madrona’s Junto event space and terrace. Indulge in an afternoon of wine tasting, showcasing 12 iconic Napa and Sonoma wineries, paired with small bites from local restaurants hosted at Casa Madrona’s signature premier space, the Alexandrite Suite. The suite boasts 5,000 square feet of impeccably designed guest quarters, with expansive floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, offering spectacular views of the Bay and San Francisco skyline. Stay for the event’s finale Vintners’ Table Dinner, sponsored by Poggio Trattoria, a classic Italian trattoria and top 100 Bay Area restaurant located in downtown Sausalito, adjacent to the hotel.

ABOUT Sausalito Sister Cities Inc,:
Sausalito has three sister cities — Viña del Mar on the coast of Chile not far from Santiago, Sakaide on the Japanese island of Shikoku and Cascais on the west coast of Portugal near Lisbon. The relationship with Viña del Mar was created over 50 years ago in 1960, at which time Sausalito renamed its central plaza Plaza Viña del Mar. The relationship with Sakaide was established in 1988, not long after the completion of the Seto Ohashi Bridge which was inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge. Most recently, given the many contributions of immigrants to Sausalito from Portugal, in particular the Azores Islands, Sausalito and Cascais created a third sister city and dedicated in June 2018 a downtown Sausalito plaza, Praḉa de Cascais.
All proceeds from the Sausalito Wine Experience will benefit the non-profit Sausalito Sister Cities Inc. organization and its educational and cultural exchange programs.
