Derived from the Tejo region in Portugal and featuring traditional Portuguese grapes and several international varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional, this full-bodied red debuts later this month – just in time for fall imbibing!

To the Portuguese, Tejo is known as the land of vineyards where nature is preserved and appreciated. The region’s name is attributed to the river that has defined the landscape and climate and can be credited for shaping the distinct Tejo terroir, making the surrounding plains and riverbanks an ideal terrain to cultivate Portugal’s native grapes. The São João Batista is about 76 hectares with traditional Portuguese grapes and several international varietals like the Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional. The excellent micro-climate (near the Tagus River) and the rich quality of the soil contribute to the production of excellent wines.
