Republic National Distributing Company Named Nominee for The Wine & Spirit Trust’s Educator of the Year Award for 2018

Grand Prairie, Texas, Dec. 5, 2018 – Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has been named a nominee for The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Educator of the Year Award 2018. RNDC is the first U.S. alcohol beverage distribution company to be nominated.

The Educator of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contribution of an individual or company within the network of Approved Program Providers and individual WSET Certified Educators. The recipient will have demonstrated a significant contribution to the development of WSET, promoting WSET values and vision while achieving noteworthy success in their own region. The award is sponsored by Riedel.

RNDC has shown an extraordinary level of commitment to WSET education. Using WSET Educator Programs to develop talent internally, RNDC has grown its capability to support staff through WSET qualifications, and has increased candidate numbers for wine and spirits qualifications five-fold in just two years. With attention to quality assurance, RNDC also is launching a custom WSET Diploma course.

The winner will be announced at the WSET Awards and Graduation ceremony at the Guildhall in London on Jan. 21, 2019.
