NYC, NY, FEB 11, 2019 – Known as the destination for wine and food lovers alike, the Kosher Food & Wine Experience (KFWE) offers a sneak preview of the trendiest restaurants and the latest innovations from the kitchens of today’s hottest chefs and caterers – plus an opportunity to be among the first to sample hundreds of new top-shelf wines and spirits from around the world, many with 90+ ratings.

The Kosher Food & Wine Experience, hosted by Royal Wine Corp., began in 2006 as an intimate wine-tasting event for a handful of guests. It quickly exploded by popular demand and grows every year in terms of attendance, exhibitors, venues, and sheer variety of products on offer. Today’s KFWE spans from New York and Miami to Los Angeles and London. In New York alone last year, KFWE showcased over 500 wines and spirits attracting more than 2500 industry professionals, consumers, and press.

What is driving this year-on-year success? Festival organizers point to three recent trends: the phenomenal growth of foodie culture, the unprecedented mainstreaming of kosher food into the American market, and the burgeoning production of premium kosher wines from around the world.

Josh Greenstein, head of the Israeli Wine Producers Association (IWPA), says, “While Israel has been making wines for over 4,000 years, it’s only been in the last 10 years or so that they’ve started to become more mainstream.

Feature articles in Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast have certainly helped, as well as the consistent release of 90+ rated wines from many of the producers.”

Gabe Geller, Director of PR and Wine Education for Royal Wine Corp. also adds, “While maintaining kosher certifications is of the utmost importance, quality is the driving force behind the kosher wine industry.

Winemakers are more skilled at their craft – many hold degrees in enology from highly respected universities, producers are focusing on their particular region’s unique characteristics and famous estates are seeking out kosher partners to produce kosher vintages of their famed wines.”

As a result, he notes, “Kosher wines from around the world are on par with their non-kosher counterparts and mainstream America is taking note.”

Trade Professionals are invited to sip top-quality wines and savor mouthwatering gourmet creations – many prepared onsite – from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm by RSVP only. Additionally, there is a public event in the evening with tickets on sale and more information available at TheKFWE.com.
