Lodi, Calif. – January 14, 2019 – Oak Ridge Winery today announced a refreshed label for the OZV portfolio which features three expressions of Zinfandel: The OZV Old Vine Zinfandel 2016, OZV Rosé of Primitivo 2018 and its OZV Old Vine Red Blend 2016. OZV is the #1 Zinfandel in California in its price point and #4 in the United States according to recent Nielsen data.

The new label, hitting shelves now, strengthens OZV among Oak Ridge Winery’s key brands including Maggio Family Vineyards, Old Soul, Moss Roxx, and Lodi Estates by recharging its brand identity as it looks to the future.

Oak Ridge Winery is a fifth generation, family-owned and operated winery. The Maggio and Reynolds families have farmed Zinfandel in the Lodi area since the 1920s, making them true stewards of this California native varietal. The Zinfandel sourced for OZV hails from some of the family’s old vines, averaging 30 years in age, striving to capture California’s true Zinfandel heritage in every bottle.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our new OZV label,” said Raquel Maggio-Casity, Chief Financial Officer at Oak Ridge Winery. “The wine industry is constantly in flux and we know it’s important to evolve with our consumers. This proactive, refreshed rebranding marks a new day for OZV wines, we look forward to reaching new consumers and delighting our returning.”

Oak Ridge Winery has expanded tremendously over the past five years in its case goods sales driven in large part by its flagship brand, OZV. OZV is available nationwide with an SRP of $13.00. For more information, please visit www.oakridgewinery.com.

  1. The new label means nothing, please bring Back the original OZV, it is our favorite everyday drinking Zin. The new label OZV is not even close to the original, if I can be blunt, it to jamy and not a very good wine. I gave away an entire case that I bought thinking it was the original blend. I see why the new wine is around $7 at COSTCO and they have pallets of it and never run out. I would not even put this new blend in a class as a porch jug wine.
