January 31, 2019, Napa, CA – Bouchaine Vineyards has released the “Crescendo” label, an exclusive annual bottling of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Bouchaine’s 104 acre Estate vineyard.  The Crescendo wines will benefit their signature Bouchaine Young Artist Series featured each year as a part of Festival Napa Valley.

“Crescendo” was created to support the annual series that brings young professional musicians to perform in the Napa Valley and ensures that local youth have an opportunity to experience classical music and, hopefully, inspire them to make music a part of their lives.

The label will change each year corresponding to the artwork representing Festival Napa Valley and its “Crescendo” magazine.

Bouchaine proprietor and president, Tatiana Copeland, stated, “to date, Bouchaine Young Artist Series has presented over 50 of America’s most talented young musicians to San Francisco Bay Area and North Bay audiences for free as part of Festival Napa Valley’s summer concert series. These young artists share their performance skills and receive a generous scholarship at the same time, all the while serving as role models for the continued renewal and relevance of the performing arts. We are honored to provide Crescendo Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to support this program.”

Bouchaine winemaker Chris Kajani describes the 2015 Crescendo Estate Chardonnay as “a rich and succulent expression from the oldest vines on the Bouchaine estate, planted in 1981. Oak from ancient forests in France adds nuance to flavors of juicy apple, nectarine, and lilac.”

“The 2015 Crescendo Estate Pinot Noir is a blend of Bouchaine Estate Pinot Noir clones,” Kajani adds. “The wine features flavors of wild strawberry which is a signature of the Swan clone, silky chocolate richness from the Pommard clone, and finishes with the tension and spice characteristic of the Dijon clones. 900 cases of each were produced.

According to Kajani, “We began crafting a distinctive blend of both the Estate Chardonnay and Estate Pinot Noir to coordinate with and showcase the opening of our new Hospitality Center at Bouchaine (opening June 2019). We began considering names for the wines while the Copelands were here for Festival Napa Valley – they are founding sponsors – and suddenly it all magically came together.”

2015 Crescendo Estate Chardonnay is priced at $47 per 750-ml bottle and the 2015 Crescendo Estate Pinot Noir is priced at $54 per 750-ml bottle, both are available at the winery or online at http://www.bouchaine.com.

Family-owned Bouchaine Vineyards is located at 1075 Buchli Station Road, Napa, CA 94559. The winery is open daily for tasting and tours. Reservations are required for groups of six or more guests. More information is available at www.bouchaine.com or by calling (800) 654-WINE or (707) 252-9065.
