Emmeti USA, a leading supplier of multiple bottling line and packaging solutions throughout North America and beyond, has recently announced that the company, along with its sister companies, Mectra, Sipac, & Logik, has been acquired by a coalition of American and British pension fund holders.

The newly formed EMS Group has been hailed as a critically important strategic alliance that will allow for expansions in engineering, service, sales support and the spare parts center, as well as increasing the overall size of the technical and commercial teams within the US.

“We’ve hired two new technicians for the US market-based in California just to serve the wine industry alone,” confirms Beth Zarnick-Duffy, Emmeti USA’s Executive Sales Director. “ One is a mechatronic engineer and the other is an electronic technician.

“The goal of this acquisition is to continue to evolve and grow while strengthening our global position as well as expanding our US markets across all sectors.”

Emmeti began operations in 1982 as an equipment manufacturer for the glass container industry. It has since evolved into four separate companies, supplying a multitude of bottling line and packaging equipment needs around the globe.

In June of 2015, Trinchero Winery Estates, based out of Napa, awarded Emmeti the contract for their bottling line design and installation at the winery’s new production facility in Lodi, California.

According to Jim Reed, Trinchero’s Operations and Technical Manager, Emmeti was selected for its outstanding reputation in design, manufacturing, technical expertise and stellar, after-sales service.

“It was a flawless set up on the Emmeti side,” attests Reed. “All the machines, the boilers, compressors, electrical lines … everything was brand new, even the people. Their people were fantastic. They taught us to program our own palletizers. Whatever issue we had, they were able to resolve it. With Emmeti, we got it right. To be honest, we got 100 percent with them.”

The Emmeti USA acquisition under the EMS Group has resulted in reorganization and new positions. In addition to Zarnick-Duffy’s new role as Executive Sales Director, Chiara Roverberi has been appointed as the new Senior Sales Account Manager for Emmeti USA, Gianluca Foti is Lead Technician Emmeti USA; Corrado Azzali is COO EMS Group; Paolo Biondi is Sales Director, Worldwide EMS Group and Vice President of Emmeti USA; and Giovanni Ronconi, is CEO of EMS Group and President of Emmeti USA.
