A multifaceted cast of master sommeliers, wine industry leaders and hospitality professionals is set to convene at the inaugural “Wine Speak Paso Robles”—a trade-focused event that will take place in the Paso Robles wine country on January 7-10.

Wine Speak Paso Robles features winemaker seminars, hospitality development seminars, technical winery tours and private tastings, as well as a public “Taste of Paso Robles” grand tasting on January 10 at the Atascadero Lake Pavilion. PASO ROBLES TECH TOUR – CABERNET SAUVIGNON & BORDEAUX FOCUSED TOUR

This is an intimate and interactive day of tours highlighting some of the top Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux producers in the Paso Robles Area. You will receive a behind the scenes tour with each producer and special access to vineyard sites. Stops will include: Austin Hope Vineyard, Niner Wine Estates, and Daou Vineyards. The tour will include a memorable private lunch at Niner Wine Estates. Transportation is included, pick up from the Carlton Hotel in Atascadero.

It begins with experts Peter Neptune, MS, and Matt Kettmann and others sharing insights into the history of blends and their importance in today’s winemaking world. Next, winemakers Mike Sinor and Stewart Cameron of Ancient Peaks Winery will present you with four separate red varietal lots from Margarita Vineyard. They will talk about both the technical and artistic aspects of blending, then turn you loose to create your own special blend. At the conclusion, your blend will be bottled, labeled and wax-dipped for you to enjoy back home.
