…the First in the Nation to Provide Mobile Sparkling Wine Production

Radiant Sparkling WineNewberg, OR – April 23, 2014 – For the first time Oregon winemakers will have the opportunity to create their own high-end sparkling wines without investing in expensive equipment. The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company, owned by experienced winemaker Andrew Davis, is partnering with select wineries to facilitate the mobile production of exceptional quality méthode champenoise sparkling wines.

Davis spent several years under the mentorship of renowned winemaker Rollin Soles. Soles holds the distinction of producing the highest rated domestic sparkling wine to date. His Argyle sparkling wines have been ranked among Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of the World several times in past years.

Davis left Argyle Winery after eight yearssix of those as a winemakerwith the goal of sharing his passion for méthode champenoise sparkling wines with Willamette Valley winemakers. Despite an increased market demand for all types of sparkling wines over the last decade he believes there are two things holding small producers back from starting their own sparkling wine programs: expensive specialized equipment and the technical knowledge needed to assure the end result is of the highest quality possible.

“My goal is to create and foster a Grower Sparkling Wine Movement in the Willamette Valley working closely with wineries to cultivate uniquely Oregon sparkling wines of the highest caliber,” says Davis.

The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company works intimately with clients from start to finish. Tirage bottling takes place at the client’s winery, allowing wineries to maintain greater control and ownership of their wines. Riddling, disgorging, corking, washing, labeling and packing will take place at ROCO Winery. Soles, who co-owns ROCO with his wife Corby, and continues to consult for Argyle, is thrilled to invest in The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company. Last year ROCO also began its own sparkling wine program.

“I firmly believe the Willamette Valley is the great new world wine growing region for world class sparkling wine,” says Soles. “After many years of working with Andrew Davis I’m happy to continue our winemaking relationship.”

For clients seeking consulting services beyond the core services offered, The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company offers several options for clients such as site selection and vineyard management, picking decisions, pressing cycle and press cut management, primary fermentation oversight, élevage and style planning and analysis, and packaging development.
