Sonoma, California | December 22, 2014: The Napa | Sonoma chapter of Women for WineSense (WWS) unveiled its 2015 calendar of events at Raymond Vineyards last week during its final event of the 2014 calendar year, celebrating “Wine on America’s Holiday Table,” which raised more than $6,000 towards its annual scholarship fund drive. Attendees of the event were each given a magnetized copy of the chapter’s 2015 calendar of events for easy reference.
Christine L. Mueller, President of the Napa | Sonoma chapter, stated, “This past fall we surveyed our members to learn what types of events they wanted us to hold, and the answer came back loud and clear: more of everything!” She continued, “To that end, we’ve assembled a robust event schedule for 2015 that expands upon programs that were introduced in 2014. Several large-scale events are scheduled at wineries in both Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Our Wednesday Wine Club tasting events will become our “Tasting Series” (TS) moving to Thursdays, held in Napa and Sonoma wine shops. And our newest meetup-style program, which offers a no-host opportunity for members and guests to meet and greet, has also been slotted into several wine country venues throughout the coming year.”
Highlights of the 2015 schedule include the chapter’s annual “Women in Wine” event, which will be held at Napa Valley College’s Performing Arts Center on March 5th, honoring International Women’s Day (March 8) a few days early, as well as kicking off the chapter’s 25th anniversary celebration. Early May offers the national WWS organization’s “Grand Event” (tickets at WWSGrandEvent.com) in Napa and Sonoma. In July, the chapter offers its fourth annual “Bubbles, Brix and Buzz” event at Ram’s Gate Winery in Sonoma. The year is capped off with “Wine in America” at Clos Pegase in Calistoga.
All the chapter’s 2015 events begin at either 5:30 or 6 p.m., lasting approximately two to three hours, and most include a fundraising component benefiting the chapter’s annual scholarship drive. WWS members receive discounted ticket prices to events, which range from $25 to more than $100 per event. Non-members may also attend events as guests. The box office opens approximately two months in advance of each event. For more information on the calendar of events, visit: http://wwsnapasonoma.com/events.
