Colleen Dray Joins the Vibrant Team at Napa’s Oldest Winery

Charles KrugHELENA, Calif., Jan. 12, 2016 – Charles Krug Winery announced today the hiring of Colleen Dray as the new Special Events Manager. Dray brings with her a wealth of experience from creating new special event programs to developing trade relationships throughout the hospitality industry. She joins the team from Davis Estate in Calistoga and before that Round Pond Estate in Rutherford and Pine Ridge Winery in Napa.

“We are thrilled to have Colleen on board. Her expertise and experience is a great asset to everyone at Charles Krug,” Aura Bland, Vice President of Direct to Consumer Sales at Charles Krug Winery, said. “Her skills will be critical to heightening awareness for the unlimited opportunities we offer for corporate meetings, events and weddings.”

One of Dray’s initial tasks will be creating new special event packages for dinners and receptions in the winery’s recently renovated Redwood Cellar, which was recently given the Best of Wine Tourism Award for Architecture (2015). She will also work to raise awareness that Charles Krug is one of only a handful of wineries in Napa permitted to host wedding ceremonies on the historic estate. Last, but certainly not least, Dray will oversee the winery’s growing corporate event business.

About Charles Krug Winery

The Charles Krug Winery, Napa Valley’s oldest winery, was established by Prussian immigrant Charles Krug in 1861. In 1943, Italian immigrants Cesare and Rosa Mondavi purchased the historic property, which remains a family-owned winery producing estate-driven Napa Valley wines. Built on a foundation of family values, hard work and European winemaking tradition, the winery offers a portfolio of Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style wines. The winery has been owned and operated by the Peter Mondavi Sr. family for four generations. For additional information, please visit www.charleskrug.com.
