Wine, beer, food and music come together at Australia’s Hope Estate, the iconic Hunter Valley winery overseen by Michael Hope. With a 420-acre vineyard and winery, an on-premise brewery, and an amphitheater that holds tens of thousands, Hope Estate debuts new wines and packaging representative of the estate.

The new packaging will debut at retailers and restaurants nationwide beginning October 2017. The Hope Estate collection includes: Mountain Wash Chardonnay ($14); Wollombi Brook Semillon ($14); Basalt Block Shiraz ($14); and The Ripper Shiraz ($17). The wines celebrate Hope’s winemaking approach, using only estate grown grapes to achieve consistency of style and quality across vintages.

A pharmacist by trade, Michael Hope dropped everything in 1994 to focus on what he loved: winemaking. Since then, Hope Estate has grown exponentially, obtaining unique vineyards throughout Australia, developing an award winning brewery in 2014 and offering the Hunter’s premier event and concert space, playing host to legendary artists like the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and many more.

A new packaging design debuts this fall across the range and includes:

Mountain Wash Estate Chardonnay – Hunter Valley

The single vineyard Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on the Mountain Wash vineyard, which lies directly under the Wollemi range. Over millions of years nutrients and gravels from the mountain’s vegetation have been washed into the soil where the vineyard now stands.

Wollombi Brook Estate Semillon – Hunter Valley

Semillon is one of the greatest strengths of the Hunter Valley and the Wollombi Brook vineyard is certainly no exception. The region is renowned for producing a Semillon with a little more acid than its Bordeaux counterpart.

Basalt Block Estate Shiraz – Hunter Valley

Hope Estate’s Basalt Block is located in the Hunter Valley among the hills of the Broken Back Mountain Range. The range was formed by volcanic activity leading to rich red soil.

The Ripper Shiraz – Western Geographe

The Ripper Shiraz grapes are produced from Hope Estate’s vineyards in the Western Geographe Region of the west coast of Australia. The cool hills of Donny-brook give the wine amazing elegance while retaining the classic spicy shiraz characters.

The wines will be available in October through the Winesellers, Ltd. wholesaler network. For more information, visit www.winesellersltd.com, and follow @winesellersltd on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
