Wayne Bailey, the owner and winemaker of Youngberg Hill Vineyards in McMinnville, OR, is pleased to welcome Karyn Howard Smith as the winery’s first full-time Direct-to-Consumer Manager. This is a new position for Youngberg Hill, created to ensure an impeccable client experience as the winery expands operations, personalizes visitor tasting experiences, and enhances wine club membership benefits. Smith will play a leading role in the development and execution of all DTC programs.

Smith joins the Youngberg Hill team with more than 15 years of experience in the wine industry, and a background in luxury goods. She started her wine career at RayLen Vineyards in North Carolina as DTC Manager, but in 2016 she and her winemaker husband Egon Smith moved to Oregon to pursue their careers in a world-renowned region. Karyn spent two years as the DTC Manager with Saffron Fields in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA before joining Youngberg Hill in May 2018.  In her prior career, Karyn was the marketing manager for a Ferrari North America luxury dealership in Greensboro, NC.
