Sponsors Announced for 34th Annual Winesong, Mendocino’s Premier Charity Auction and Tasting Event

2018 Event to Take Place on Friday, September 7th & Saturday, September 8th on the Mendocino Coast of Northern CA

FORT BRAGG, CA – (July 17, 2018) – Tickets are still on sale for the 34th Annual Winesong — a spectacular weekend of award-winning wine, fabulous food, fine art, music, merriment, and charitable giving. Produced by the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation, the main event – featuring a grand food and wine tasting and a live and silent auction – takes place at the gorgeous Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens on Saturday, September 8th, and on Friday, September 7th, the nearby Little River Inn will host A Pinot Noir Celebration, showcasing premier winemakers from Anderson Valley and other renowned Pinot regions. Proceeds from both events go towards supporting the local Mendocino Coast District Hospital that serves so many in the area.

Winesong is very excited to announce at this time the sponsors for the 2018 event. Some have been with Winesong for years, while others are newer to the family, but all contribute in helping to raise essential funds for the rural Hospital. This year, we have a wonderful mix of local and regional, as well as commercial and private, sponsors. Sponsors are a vital part of any event — they help offset costs of production, provide auction lots, and add value to the attendees’ experience.

Winesong is delighted and most appreciative that longtime Winesong friends and supporters D. Scott Farmer and Mia Ballentine have stepped up as major sponsors of Winesong this year – increasing their previous sponsorship to the next level of generosity. And once again, Winesong is pleased to include two integral sponsors in Garton Tractor and their main supplier, Kubota Tractors. Kubota Tractors are one of their quality brands and both will be on hand at Winesong, not just for display, but to also help with vendors and guests alike. Both companies stress quality, integrity, and putting people first – and their respective values are both valued and appreciated by Winesong. Garton Tractor is a leader in agricultural equipment – for sales, service, parts, and rentals. Garton Tractor has nine stores in Northern CA, and extending to the Central Valley, with the Ukiah Store being represented at Winesong.

Another leader in the agriculture industry – American AgCredit – whose mission is to be the best lender to agriculture, is sponsoring Winesong for the second year. American AgCredit is committed to serving all segments on agriculture, ensuring they remain responsible stewards of borrower’s investments. Winesong appreciates these ag-centric sponsors to our larger Winesong family!

Adding to the fun once more is Grape Encounters Radio – now in their second year as a sponsor of Winesong. Last year David Wilson, Host of Grape Encounters, attended as a media affiliate and sponsored the event for the first time, plus kicked up their partnership by donating an incredible auction lot for the Live Auction. There’s no doubt that David and Grape Encounters Radio will out do themselves this year – something Winesong bidders and attendees will appreciate! Grape Encounters Radio is the number one wine broadcast in America, simulcast on numerous stations across the country. What makes Grape Encounters a stand out is their focus on people as much as the wine itself. Having been on the air for eight years, Grape Encounters seeks to bring the entire world of wine to their listeners – and it’s evidenced in their weekly broadcasts. And – they make wine accessible to everyone, regardless of how great or little your knowledge or wine.

Local realty firm Pamela Hudson Real Estate has become a community partner and sponsor to Winesong. A highly-respected broker and realtor, Pamela herself is a huge community supporter, and we’re delighted to earn her support, and that of Pamela Hudson Real Estate, at Winesong. PHRE specializes in high-end residential and commercial properties for buyers and purchasers, for investments or personal use.

Community First Credit Union covers Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino & Lake Counties. CFCU offers all of the amenities you’d find at other credits unions, plus amazing service. We welcome Community First back as a sponsor and member of our Winesong family and community.

A host of additional businesses and individuals will also be sponsoring this year’s event, including: The Coast FM – KOZT, Harvest Market, Savings Bank of Mendocino, Little River Inn, Paul A. Sweigart – Edward Jones Investments, North Coast Brewing Company, Mendocino Coast District Hospital Physicians, Ledford House, Mission Linen Supply, Anderson Valley Winegrowers Association, Thanksgiving Coffee Company, Caito Fisheries, Steppin’ Out Magazine, Mendocino Winegrowers Inc, Rossi Building Materials, Canclini Television & Appliance, Braggadoon Signs & Graphics, Anderson Logging, and Ferrellgas. last irs 990 for the winesong event showed the cost to raise a dollar was about 6.80/1… some “benefit” as it’s really a rich person’s tax write off auction. “donate” 3000 for a bottle of wine and write off 50%, then re donate the bottle and write off the other half. this means oour income tax base is being corrupted in the name of a wasteful event by crazy write offs for the rich!!! all this while coast hospitol passed a parcel tax that adds 144 per year to the poverty level property owners… winesong is a farce!!!

cost to raise a doller recently for winesong as a benefit was about 6.80/1… it is a rich guy’s tax write off event and not much more. our hospitol recently hosed property owners with 144 per parcel in tax while the ceo rakes in over 362k per year. winesong may be good for wine promotion but it’s bad for the people of the mendocino coast. check the real numbers… follow the money…
