Artist Morgan Bricca Painted 70-foot Long Mural of Beckstoffer Farm during fall

NAPA, Calif. (September 19, 2018)First Street Napa is pleased to announce the completion of a mural commissioned by Andy Beckstoffer on the wall of one of its Napa properties, the Beckstoffer Building which houses Overland Sheepskin Co. and Brown Estate.  Painted by Bay Area-based artist Morgan Bricca and located at 1202 First Street, the mural is 11 feet tall, 70 feet long, and depicts the Beckstoffer Farm during fall.

“I wanted to do something in the realm of public art that the community can be proud of,” said Andy Beckstoffer, owner of Beckstoffer Vineyards.  “Morgan is an incredibly talented artist who brought the fall scene to life in this project after multiple visits to the farm. This mural will live on for decades to come and I’m pleased that Napa residents and visitors can enjoy the beautification of this blank building wall.”

Primarily viewable from the rooms and rooftop terrace of Archer Hotel at First Street Napa, the mural features five farm structures and a woodblock-style imprint of the Beckstoffer seal.  Bricca, who has been painting murals professionally for 17 years, has a passion for the transformative power of murals in public spaces.  She uses the sides of buildings as canvases to bring images of the natural world into urban environments.  Since becoming a full-time mural artist in 2000, Bricca has painted more than 450 murals, including over 50 in the Bay Area and 17 abroad. In 2016, she painted the mural, “Tuesday Morning, 1720” on Second Street in Napa portraying what Napa would have looked like 300 years ago.
